Les Henig is a Professional Photographer with over 25 years of wide-ranging experience in the field. Originally trained as photojournalist, he has worked for local newspapers, managed an industrial photo department for a major corporation and, as Les Henig Photography, has completed countless assignments for many Washington area businesses. A great people photographer, he has created heirloom quality portraits for hundreds of area individuals and families. He is sought after by engaged couples for the limited number of weddings he photographs each year. Working with a wide range of corporate and individual clients, he continues to create award winning work with the client's needs always foremost in consideration.   For most of the past ten years he has photographed the cover featured stories for Builder/Architect Magazine. His work has also appeared an Builder and Professional Builder magazines.   A past president of the Maryland Professional Photographers Association, he has been awarded the Fellow of Photography degree both for his service to the organization and for continued excellence of prints entered in competition. Long active in professional associations, he has sat on the board of both the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association and the Professional Photographers Society of Greater Washington.

Les Henig is a Certified Professional Photographer. This national standards program requires photographers to pass written examinations, have their work examined and judged regularly and constantly update their education and skills. We also limit the number of wedding assignments we will accept in order to guarantee that each of our clients get the full personal attention they deserve. Because we will only photograph one event per day, we can say "we're yours for the day." We start early and stay late. There are no extra or hidden charges on local events. Our careful and complete planning assures that you'll get exactly the coverage you want.

Carol and Les work as a team to provide you with the best possible coverage at no extra charge. We personally photograph every event. We do not use nameless/faceless subcontractors. We have no "packages". All of our services are a la carte. You're not forced to make major buying decisions in a vacuum. We don't ask you to make any decisions until after you've seen your preview photographs. Our normal coverage includes a pre-bridal "casual" portrait of the engaged couple as well as a formal studio portrait of the bride prior to the wedding day. There is no extra charge for this service.
